I like to think i work hard at photography because it actually says something important for me. i like to think that the reason i never paint or draw anymore is because the motions are empty, that they're only there for comfort (or to replace boredom). i can never be sure though, so i just keep working, trying to express myself one way or another.

my artistic curse is that i try to squeeze myself through my creations, one way or another. but the problem is, art is really just a window that never opens, and unlike a door, it's never meant to move through. sometimes i'm afraid that i'll spend my life bumping up against the glass, instead of looking for the door when i feel trapped.

did that make any sense? i don't know. all my fellow artists are probably thinking "what?? art is liberating!" but i think i'm just trying to say that i should learn not to depend on my art as my only means of expression. i'm just barely learning to yell when i'm mad and cry when i'm sad.
